Our members need your support! Each day over 350 children and teens attend the Boys & Girls Club for mentoring, academic support, health and personal growth. Your year-end gift will give them the skills they need for a Great Future!
Today, we once again ask for your special consideration of a contribution that will help us reach our $100,000 Great Futures goal to:
Sustain long hours of operation: weekdays from close of school to 8:30 pm; Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm
Provide 33 structured academic, community service, health, prevention education, creative arts, technology and recreational sports programs throughout the year
Connect 70 dedicated and professional mentors to members to support their personal needs
Serve 48,000 warm and nutritious meals
Your contribution means so much to the Fall River youth who need us most.
“Joining the Boys & Girls Club was the best thing I ever did in my life. It has helped me break out of my shell, become a good leader, and more active in my community. The Boys & Girls Club is a place where I can express myself and feel safe. I feel that what I say matters and I know that I am cared for.” - Christina
“The Boys & Girls Club has helped me to accomplish many things. I never would have thought that I would be able to meet new friends and get out of my comfort zone until I joined the Keystone Club. Now, I cannot imagine my life without the unwavering support of my peers and the Boys & Girls Club staff.” - Jana
Thank you for considering a charitable contribution once again to ensure a Great Future for the many Fall River children who rely on our Boys & Girls Club every day after school and on weekends. Your support is an investment in our 2,600 members today and long into their Great Futures.

The Club depends on the generosity of our partners, investors, and supporters. Each person plays a key role in our ability to strive for perfection.
As a nonprofit organization, the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River is always seeking funds from individuals, organizations, and foundations. This will help us achieve our goal of providing quality programs to our members. The Club’s ability to save the lives of at-risk youth in Fall River starts with you. All gifts, big or small, are appreciated.
Your gifts are investments in the lives of our members. We are always looking for new supporters to help us grow and increase our success.
Our membership fee is only $20 a year. It is intentionally inexpensive because we want every child and family in Fall River to be able to utilize the Club and all of its resources. The cost to the Club for the programs and opportunities we provide is about $700 a year for every youth served.
This is why we ask for your support and continued contributions. We are investing in Fall River’s youth so that they may have every opportunity needed to succeed.
Annual Campaign During the year, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every Club member completes the school year with the best possible grades and a healthy outlook on their lives and community.
Our most important campaign, the annual ONE Campaign, directly funds programs such as Power Hour and Homework Help. It also sponsors 38 additional programs and enrichment activities that support the success of each child.
Camp Welch is the oldest camp of its kind in the United States. With 165 acres of wooded property to include 20 camp buildings, ball fields, and 2 swimming pools, Camp Welch is the Club’s sole program site during the summer months. This area provides a safe place to learn and grow for the youth who may otherwise be unsupervised and on city streets during the day.
A full range of activities is available, including basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, swimming lessons and pool recreation, arts and crafts, hiking, and fitness. Bus transportation is provided from downtown Fall River to Camp Welch every weekday.
Camp Welch's budget is a major part of the Boys & Girls Club operation and mission. For a child to attend Camp Welch, the cost is $125 or $150 per week (based on income). A Campership Donation is a great way to provide a youth in need with the opportunity to attend Camp Welch during the summer vacation months.
Planned Giving If you have begun thinking about a legacy that will live beyond you and are seeking options for charitable estate donations, please consider the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River.
For more than 124 years, our Club has given encouragement and opportunity to the hundreds of thousands of youth we have served since 1890. By remembering the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River, your lasting legacy will be giving an extra opportunity to the youth who are most in need.
You can also appreciate financial advantages today through estate planning methods. Planned gifts can reduce income taxes, capital gain taxes, and gifts and estate taxes.
A variety of options exists to direct you to your charitable donation. The Boys & Girls Club of Fall River will work with you so that your gift may go to any program area you wish.
In-Kind Donations In-kind donations are nonmonetary donations that you can make to the Club. Examples of in-kind donations include, but are not limited to, donation of used equipment or furniture, electronics, office equipment, or even labor (landscaping, plumbing, and electrical).
We ask that if your donation has been previously used, please clean it and make sure it is in proper working order. In-kind donations are tax deductible at the depreciated value. These donations help to free up funds that would be taken away from our youth programs.
At the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River, we believe that recruiting, training, and retaining the best staff possible is where it all begins. That is because our work is anchored in our staff’s capability to bring our mission to life—to enable the youth to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, and productive citizens.
